Personal data, such as location information and purchase histories in addition to personal information are now actively used to improve convenience in daily life with the rapid development of digitalization and AI technologies. At the same time, however, many issues have emerged regarding the appropriate use and distribution of personal data, including privacy protection.
For the utilization of personal data to be accepted by society, it is necessary to both improve convenience and solve problems.
In this workshop, we will elucidate the background of domestic and international personal data protection systems, and discuss with participants the perspectives and thoughts necessary to enhance the social acceptability of personal data.
